PRIVATE CHEF DINNER

IMAGINE THIS…

You and your loved ones gather in the cozy, intimate setting of your home, and tonight, it’s not just a dinner—it’s a finely curated experience. A private chef is in your kitchen, orchestrating a symphony of flavors and aromas that transform your space into a haven of culinary delight.

From the moment your guests arrive, the atmosphere is infused with an air of anticipation and sophistication. The chef, an artist of the culinary world, has meticulously sourced each ingredient, ensuring that everything—from the freshest seafood to the most vibrant, locally-grown vegetables—has been chosen with care and precision.

The menu, inspired by a blend of classic techniques and innovative flair, unfolds like a story. Perhaps the evening begins with an elegant amuse-bouche, a tantalizing bite that whets your appetite. As the courses progress, you might savor a beautifully plated appetizer featuring heirloom tomatoes and creamy burrata, followed by a main course of perfectly seared beef or a delicate, herb-infused seafood dish. Each plate is not just food, but a visual and sensory delight.

The chef’s attention to detail extends beyond just the dishes; every element of the evening is tailored to your preferences. Wine pairings are thoughtfully selected, complementing each course and elevating the flavors. And while this experience is undoubtedly indulgent, it’s designed to be surprisingly affordable, making the luxury of fine dining accessible without the extravagant price tag.

The evening’s ambiance is intimate, with soft lighting and curated music enhancing the experience. As you and your guests enjoy each course, conversation flows effortlessly, and the chef remains unobtrusive, yet attentive, ready to answer questions or adjust the meal to your liking.

In this setting, fine dining doesn’t just happen at a restaurant; it comes to you, transforming your home into a haven of gourmet pleasure. It’s a celebration of exceptional food, enjoyed in the comfort and warmth of your own space, creating memories that linger long after the last bite.

Glamorous Summer Supper
A refined nod to supper club nostalgia, lakeside luxury, and unapologetic indulgence

To Start
Mini Walleye Cakes with Lemon Aioli
Crispy, golden bites of North Shore nostalgia—briny, buttery, and kissed with citrus. A one-way ticket to the cabin, minus the drive.

Watermelon Feta Bites
Chilled cubes of juicy watermelon topped with briny feta and fresh mint—refreshing, refined, and ready to party.

The Main Event
Grilled Steak Tips (Nye’s Style)
Our tribute to the dearly departed Polonaise Room: garlicky, herb-marinated steak tips, grilled to juicy medium perfection and paired with an unapologetically rich blue cheese sauce on the side. Because some legends deserve a comeback.

Butter-Basted Lobster Tails
Monumental cold-water lobster tails, split, grilled, and basted in lemon-garlic butter with a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Served with extra napkins, because decadence is never neat.

Roasted Summer Vegetables
A confetti of zucchini, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, and bell peppers—roasted just enough to still taste like summer.

Dill & Lemon Baby Potatoes
Tender new potatoes tossed with olive oil, lemon zest, and fresh dill. Effortless, elevated, and deliciously down to earth.

Garlic Bread Wedges
Warm, golden, and just chewy enough to mop up every last bit of that lobster butter. You're welcome.

Salads & Sides
Classic Caesar Salad
Crisp romaine, aged parmesan, garlicky croutons, and a house Caesar dressing that could double as a love language.

Wild Rice Salad
Nutty Minnesota wild rice with tart cranberries, toasted pecans, and a citrusy vinaigrette—bold, bright, and beautifully local.

We hosted a family gathering on Lake Minnetonka and Wandering Kitchen delivered an experience that blew us away. From the first bite of those walleye cakes to the last swipe of garlic bread through lobster butter, every detail was perfection.

The steak tips were a nostalgic nod to Nye’s that made my dad tear up (no joke), and the lobster tails? Massive, buttery, and downright luxurious. Even the wild rice salad had people asking for seconds.

The presentation, the service, the flavors—it all felt like an indulgent supper club revival, but somehow fresh, modern, and completely effortless. It’s rare to find food that feels both comforting and extravagant. Wandering Kitchen nailed it.

Can’t wait to plan the next one.
